Sesame cookies are an old fashion Italian cookie that are traditionally made during the Christmas holiday season. These Christmas cookies are a perfect pairing to a fresh cup of hot coffee, or double shot of espresso!

Sesame cookies are a traditional Italian Christmas cookie that cannot be replicated by a bakery!
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup Crisco
1 medium egg
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut crisco into the dry ingredients.
Add egg, milk and vanilla. Mix together until it holds together.
Knead (put flour on your hands if sticky) until dough is smooth.
Pinch off a piece of dough and roll into a log about 3 inches long and an inch wide. Roll log in sesame seeds and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 30-45 minutes until bottoms are lightly browned. Every oven is different!
