Secrets to a successful Gameday Party

The secrets to a successful gameday party are:

  • Planning: Plan ahead! Make a list of everything you need to bring, including food, drinks, games, and supplies. Most of us use e-tickets, however, if you use old fashion paper tickets make sure to bring them with you!
  • Food and drinks: No gameday party is complete without delicious food and drinks. Coordinate with others that will be attending to ensure you have the perfect variety of delicious, easy to prepare foods. The complexity of the foods will depend on your guests’ cooking abilities. Be certain to have your favorite alcoholic beverage, but also make sure to pack some waters and soda, pop, soft drink or whatever you call it in your geographic area. Be certain to have a supply of charcoal or propane.
  • Entertainment: These parties are a great opportunity to be a kid again with your friends and family. Some popular tailgate games include cornhole, football and whiffle ball.
  • Supplies: In addition to food, drinks, and games, you’ll also need a few supplies, such as a table, chairs, utensils, condiments, paper towels and trash bags. Multiple coolers, ice, a grill, a canopy tent and clothing matching the weather forecast are mandatory.
  • Location: Many that do this often have their favorite parking lot locations and build a commeraderie with others they see each week. Here is an idea, you don’t need tickets to the game to enjoy a gameday party. We know many who just enjoy the stadium atmosphere and go to the parking lot without tickets to enter the game. After the pregame, they enjoy the game in the parking lot. Another option, throw the party in your back yard. Set up a big TV, invite a crowd and enjoy the gameday party without leaving home.
  • Atmosphere: The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself. Even those who don’t enjoy football usually enjoy the festivities associated with gameday parties.

How to make this Sausage and Peppers recipe?

These are so simple and delicious. Bring them once, expect to be requested to make these wherever you go. To make, start with our sausage and peppers recipe. You can make this ahead of time and place them in a foil tray. Using the sweet Hawaiian rolls gives these sliders a unique flavor that is quite different from your classic sausage hero.

To prepare, slice the King Hawaiian rolls and place a healthy amount of the prepared sausages on the bottom, then cover with top of the rolls. You can add cheese or any other condiment you like but we prefer to leave them as they are. Brush the top of the rolls with olive oil or melted butter and shake Everything Bagel seasoning or sesame seeds on top. Bake the rolls in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes, or over indirect heat on your grill until the tops begin to brown. That’s it! Serve and enjoy!
